I know right… bizarre? It’s all good though, Microsoft have come up with a clever way to still promote Activision’s new title, launching next week.
Introducing, the Destiny fragrance from Xbox…
Ok, so it’s not actually been outed as to why Microsoft haven’t been allowed to advertise the highly anticipated new IP from the previous makers of Halo, Bungie, but we can’t help but feel the dudes at Sony have something to do with it….
However, the clever lads and ladies at Microsoft have come up with a very smart way around it. This morning, the @XboxUK Twitter page released this image.

Once curious fans had clicked on the link, it took them to a website explaining the deal.
Incase you can’t see the image, it reads;
OKAY, SO HERE’S THE LOWDOWN
Destiny is actually an epic new first-person shooter, available on Xbox. Thing is, we didn’t have permission to run adverts for the game.
So we didn’t.
Thanks for smelling that something was up.
Now get the game and become a legend.
Destiny hits consoles 9th September.
