A gritty, more mature answer to Rare’s Sea of Thieves, perhaps? Skull & Bones took the audience by surprise at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference.
A pirate-themed standalone title has been heavily rumoured ever since Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag from which the Assassin’s Creed franchise gained praise for the well developed and original naval combat mechanics. It’s fantastic to see this has been revisited and it’ll be interesting to watch the developments of Skull & Bones over the coming months. Here’s the announcement trailer below;
